Did you know that most people on a spiritual path are practicing yoga?! Meditating, contemplating and living a positive life are some ways we all practice everyday, without realizing it. Our goal is to teach and share a full yogic experience each class where intention meets physical poses, breath work and meditation. Don't worry if you are new to these practices, anyone with a willingness to learn, will learn.
Adding a yoga practice to your schedule has many benefits. Lets talk about the physical and mental/emotional benefits for a moment.
Physical benefits of practice include increased flexibility, muscle tone, bone health, strength and blood flow. Improved posture, sleep, blood sugar, balance, respiration, energy, digestion, vitality, cardio and circulatory health and athletic performance. Lubricates joints and prevents cartilage breakdown, drains the lymphatic system, regulates adrenal glands and supports connective tissue. Certain poses are shown to help with various illnesses and diseases.
Mental/Emotional benefits include reduction in stress, anxiety, grief, tension, anger and depression. Promotes self esteem, joy, focus, peace of mind, love, creativity, presence, self-image, confidence, connection to self, transformation and self care.
Did you know "breath work" has the ability to change our brainwaves from beta to alpha and theta! Which quite literally means, you can explore other states of consciousness, consciously.
Yoga is for all bodies; big, small, tall, round, chair/bed ridden, red, green and blue! There is a yoga routine for you. This class is open to everyone. All levels are welcome to attend. Beginners are encouraged.
Mondays at 7 P.M.
This class can be reserved monthly to provide a semi-private environment for you and friends, family members or co-workers. This class is tailored to the groups needs and goals.
Wednesdays at 6 P.M.
Private classes are one on one between you and the teacher. This option is fantastic for people with specific goals, disabilities and injuries. This class is created specifically for you and your needs.
